OUR STORY!
In pre-historic times (circa 1967), in what was then Charlotte, NC along what is now the Independence Expressway there rose a giant beast. The beast (named the Goonysaurus by the local Charlotte inhabitants) stood 20 feet tall and was bright orange in color. Goonysaurus had bright flashing eyes that watched out over the passing traffic on Independence Boulevard.
Then one day, the Goonysaurus was gone. The local inhabitants were sad. They searched near and far and could not find their Goonysaurus. Where could he have gone?
Recently a surveying crew unearthed what appeared to be large Goonysaurus near Memphis, Tennessee.
While this younger Goonysaurus appears to be a member of the same family as the Charlotte Goonysaurus, questions remain on how this one ended up in Tennessee. How wide was their range? What did they eat? Did they move on because of environmental conditions?
O
Once upon a time in the Jurassic era around 1967, on Independence Boulevard, there was a miniature golf course called Goony Golf. All of a sudden in 1981 something happened and the Goony Golf began to grow. First there was a circus tent and a sign about The Games People Play coming soon. Then there was a Go-Kart track. Following that a bumper boat pond appeared in the middle infield of the Go-Kart track. It was not too long before batting cages appeared. There was ice cream, one-hour photo, and fresh hot pizza.
